Hi
I filed my 485 on June 4th 2007 with NSC. It was transferred to TSC and received my Receipt notice. Now I am going to file my AP.
My question is where should I file my AP?. Do I need to file with NSC or TSC?.
Please someone respond.
Thanks in advance

For a EB2 position, that requires a MS with no alternate qualification accepted:
1. Does the business necessity need to show how the job duties match the course work during MS or why the job duties are needed for the company?
2. Do we need to send the business necessity at the time of applying for PERM or only when audited.
Thanks!

I just got a CRIS notification that for my case and my wife's case "Card production has been ordered".
Does that mean our I-485 has been approved?

I am on 6th year of H1B. My visa expires in Sep 2009. My mom is likely to appear for B1 by Oct 2009. My 7th H1B extension has been approved, but I have not stamped the visa
Question:
Do I need to have a stamped visa in my passport for my mom to get a B1? Would US embassy accept copy of I-797 of H1B approval notice?
Thanks for your guidance.

then moved to company B.
Company B:
EB-2 PD: August 05. Labor, I-140 approved, I-485 pending.
Want to move back to Company A as Company A is willing to continue; so need to inter-file my I-485 from Company B to Company A. Did you guys do this before? If so, what is the procedure? How do we know if the inter-filing is succeded? Do you have any success or failure stories?
Please help.. every hint helps me in making decision.
Thanks!

I have a question regarding location change with same employer. I have labor approved on EB2 India with PD 01/2005. I am employed with a big health care firm which has various locations in the region. I'd like to move to another location which is 30 miles away from my present site. I140 is pending with the same employer. I have also posed this question to my lawyer but appreciate greatly if anyone knows answer to this. Will this affect my GC?

St. Jude Children's Hospital is known throughout the world for its groundbreaking research relating to childhood cancer. One of their stars is Australian-born Charles Mullighan who has gained attention for discovering what is described as "the missing piece" in the puzzle of genetic mutations that contribute to the onset of childhood leukemia. Mullighan recently described his work to the Memphis Business Journal: The most common childhood cancer, says Mullighan, is ALL, a genetic disease. He explains that ALL stops normal white blood cells, which constitute the bodys natural immune system, from growing; without adequate natural immunity, infections eventually overwhelm and...

Page 42 of the study is interesting, where a suggestion is raised for changes to count the time stuck waiting in retrogression towards naturalization. That would only be fair.

SoCal family charged with arranging fake marriages - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_fake_marriages_immigration_fraud)
Nothing unusual...infact just a tiny tip of an iceberg. Family based immigration including marriage constitute close to 85-90% of US new immigrants. Other avenues being tightened in recent years, we are sure to see more and more. In fact in recent years I have seen many H1Bs/F1 marrying USC.
For every case being busted, there are many many undetected cases. It is called legal arbitrage, with other areas being tightened amd under attack and marriage based being relatively untouched, it is a matter of time that one will increase.

I don't know if Swift allows already animated files into its design environment. I am guessing it would be a "no" but I really am not sure.

My friend Tamar Jacoby has an excellent editorial in today's Los Angeles Times providing an overview of the current political landscape for comprehensive immigration reform: The problem: Left and right not only frame their arguments differently, they also disagree on matters of substance. Most significantly, unions question whether the country needs reform that creates more visas for immigrant workers to enter the country in the future, while employers who hire foreigners say they can't sustain their businesses without them. The question for the months ahead: Will these differences undo the reform movement, or will left and right find ways to...

The immigration voice news desk (the toolbar for immigration related news on homepage is back).
So we can have all the updates from across the country related to immigration here. This toolbar, as many of you may know, is based on news items from google news that have matching keywords.
Very soon we will be adding the tab "Presidential elections and immigration" so that we get the latest on that front too.
The rally picture of Washington DC rally on Sept 18 has been moved to "additional news items and archives" page
