I have changed to a new employer and have mailed AC21 documentation to the nebraska service center at the following address using FEDEX.

850 S Street
Lincoln, NE 68508-1225
It is 2 weeks now that the mail has been delivered. So far I have not seen any soft LUD's on either my pending I-485 or approved I-140 cases.
- Would the LUD's be seen at all on these? How many days after sending the docs would you see the LUD typically?
- Is there any way we can call and confirm that the new employer details are applied on my I-485 case?

When we file 485 AOS along with EAD & APL, these are three seperate forms, so we get three seperate receipt numbers?

Most people have now heard about Stephen Colbert's testimony in front of the House Immigration Subcommittee this week on the subject of new laws for migrant farmworkers. Some have criticized the Committee for letting the comedian speak. I say, how high can the standards be if they let me testify? HI ,
Someone told me that I-140 have to be applied 45 days from PERM approval ? Otherwise PERM will get cancelled. Is that true. Can anyone help here.

Hai..
My OPT ends dec 08 and my H1 got selected in lottery but received RFE in Oct and case is still pending. Can I go for OPT extension right now as there is just 1 month time to file it?? Or should I go for premium processing of H1 and then go for OPT extension filing depending on H1 case result??
If I go for OPT extension right now even when H1 case is pending,
1)What happens to that OPT extension case if H1 gets approved?
2)What happens to that OPT extension case if H1 gets rejected?
Help me..

You must submit the 485 through a lawyer if your priority is current, check the visa bulletin. You can always file when 140 is approved and you are still employed with same employer. You can also file EAD & AP for work permit and international travel. Get a lawyer asap.

I am looking for some advice regarding a seemingly peculiar situation.
my company has filed for my H1B this year alongwith h4 for my wife. My wife is on the verge of getting herself a job. My question is ...since this year's cap hasn't been reached....can she get a h1 visa and if yes how does her already having an application for h4 affect her h1b filing process.

I was on H1B until Feb 2009 and I applied for COS to H4 in Feb 2009. USCIS has received my COS application, and it is still pending with USCIS for 2 months now.
1. Can a new employer apply for a new cap-exempt H1B for me (technically a transfer, as I was on H1B for 2 years before)?
2. In that case, do I need to submit paystubs and W2s from when I last held H1B status?

Hello All,
I need ur advice.
My H1 expires this sept 19th 2010. I don't have the present H1 stamped.
Also, I have the new extended H1 which is valid from Sept 19th 2010.
Now, I'm planning to travel to India and go for stamping.
1. If I go for stamping before sept19th, on which H1 will i get the visa stamped,present H1 or the new extended H1?
2. Is it safe to go before sept19th or after sept 19th? I prefer the stamping on H1 extension.
I'm flexible with my travel.
I'm waiting to book my appointement based on the advice given.
Appreciate ur inputs!!

If H4 uses EAD for work with 485 pending, and if the underlying I-140 gets rejected, will this make H4 holder be out of status? what are the options for H4 holder.
If I 140 is rejected then the EAD,AP and I 485 are rejected as well. If you have used EAD then ur H4 is no longer valid ! You will have to go out of the country and get H4 stamped.
So the recommendation is to keep H status alive till you get Greencard
