My I-485 and I-140 was filed last week. I was wondering how many days it takes to get receit and .
when does the six month count down for AC21 begin???? Is it after receit date or fedex date..thnx

You need to wait till your I-140 is approved. Otherwise, you will face problem in AC21 stage.
That said, the 180 days count from "receipt" date in your I-797 (receipt for I-485). And its better to have few days more, if not few weeks/months (just to be safe).

Hi

In the online AR 11 form there is one field called Port of entry and there is drop down box which has many items to select the port of entry. This drop down box has two items related to my port of entry.
MA- BOSTON
MA- LOGAN Airport
Are these really two different airports?
I entered US in the Boston Logan Airport (international airport). Which entry I need to select?
MA-Boston

Hello everyone,
I had filed for my I485 on 19th July at Nebraska. My 90 days are getting over on 19th Oct. Still I have not received any receipts for I-485,EAD,I-131.
My lawyer is going to call USCIS to inquire about my case.
Does any one had experience calling USCIS after 90 days were over and the USCIS tracked your application and you got your receipts.
Would be great if any one can share there experiences.

I am using Advance parole in december to visit India. I have applied my canada PR in 2008, but I don't have stamp of PR in my passport.

Hello All,
I am in my 10th year of H1B visa. (GC in process). Every other time I went to INDIA , I got my stamping in INDIA except in 2009 when I returned on Advanced Parole because of a lack of time. Now I need to go to INDIA again in July and I observed this condition for visa stamping at INDIAN consulates which is :
Have the same class of U.S. visa which is still valid or that has expired less than 12 months from the scheduled date of interview.
Wish to apply for the same visa class (e.g. had an H1 work visa, now applying again for an H1 work visa)
My question is whether my last entry to US on Advanced Parole will be interpreted as not having the same class of VISA. After I entered on AP , I did renew my H1 Visa and it is valid upto April'2011.

My H1B visa is valid till Sep 2009. I am planing to go for H1B extension. I heard, some people who applied for extension got rejected in recent past. I am planing to go to Canada for extension.
Please share your advices and experiences... that would be helpful...
