Wow, there you go! How come it becomes 'stupid' when a girl spends husband's money to support her parents?
Did I even say this? What are you saying? Go see a shrink :D
Read first what I said.
Stop sending money to parents and in-laws, if its possible. Otherwise, maintain parity by sending money in small amounts to both parents. Its stupid to say my wife is not working so she has no business to send money to her parents. Its so wrong and I'm surprised folks can think like this. Marriage is about sharing and even a child will tell you that. If the in-laws are any sensible they won't accept gifts from the son-in-law but its for them to decide. And stop receiving any gifts from either sides.

Hi All,
My Eb2 Perm Labor Approved. It took 2 months to get approved. It was filed on 07/09/2010 and approved on (email received by HR dept) 09/10/2010. This is just to share with all of you.
Thank you.
Pardon my lack of knowledge. Is this from beginning to end?
I think advertising and stuff takes some time. Right? and thats not included in this 2 months. Right?

The impact to companies like Infy etc is ~5-10MM
If someone look at their last year Balance sheet, They spent appx 16MM on visas, now assuming H1 cost came to ~10MM (these companies do lot of business elsewhere )
that would translate to ~ 2500 filings (including extn, new etc)
this additional $2000 would result in additional $5MM cost if they decide to continue filing 2500
This would not be too huge to make a dent on these companies. yes they may increase their billing to client by $2-5
So who is ultimately paying it is the American companies who use offshoring companies.

only those with labor approved by 31st july can apply.
Everyone can apply until August 17, but in the August VB, all the categories are U, which means no one is current and who knows when that will change. When processing, theoretically RD it's important, but when you get to the stage of being approved, you'll actually be approved only if your PD will be current at that time. Don't count too much on any guidelines, because some people get approved in weeks, others in years. Good luck.

Hi,
Does anyone has recently got I-485 approval after porting priority date from earliar EB3 filing.
My I-140 got approved 2 weeks back and based on priority date, I am current. Ny EB3 485 was filed in July 2007.
How long it is taking for I485 to get approved after I-140 approval when the priority date is current.
Thanks

I am on the same boat, can anyone please clarify?
Mu thpoughts and assumptions. Might want tot talk to your attoney too
> First thing to remember is this not a law yet and it might take some time to become law and that too "IF" it gets approval
> Second "IF" this becomes a law and if your I140 application says Advacned Degree/Exceptional Ability then you might have to send additional docs
> As I said in my earlier thread my i140 approval clearly said "Advacned Degree, or Exceptional Ability"
> You might want to check your application once too
thanks

Lets have a quick penultimate round. New contributors have, so far, not let us down. They have stepped forward in each and every round and made it a success. They have taken the most difficult step; contribute for the first time. I know, I was there once. Kudos to them.
In this round could I have support from three existing contributors to quickly finish this round. May I have some pledges please? I would like to fire the third round. BTW this pistol has seven shots. Once we finish this round we will move to the last round and it has 14 shots. 21 shots in total.
These 2 rounds is specially dedicates to the core team members; without them there wont be any shots fired here. Without them Sept18th would be just one ordinary day on the calendar. They have given us a chance to remember Sep18th forever, no matter what the results are after that day. For me personally, Sept 18th will be a defining moment. So lets give a deserving 21 Gun salute to the core team.
We just need three people who have never contributed before.
