It seems USCIS has set a quota of �X� number of 485 applications till SEP �07.Once that quota reaches, dates will retrogress.
After that 485�s will be processed by PD and not by RD.

I listened intently to President Obama's State of the Union speech yesterday. The man is clearly a gifted orator. He stressed the need for cooperation between Democrats and Republicans on the big issues facing our country: the economy, climate change and health care reform, but where oh where was immigration? My VISA stamped expired long back. I have valid H1 extension and my I94 is valid till October 30 2007. I am in the process of 8 th year H1 extension. Do I need to revalidate my visa to apply I � 485?

Its not an issue. Make sure u fill all ur future applications like ssn, green card etc as per your passport. also ur birth certificate should be like ur passport details name date of birth and place of birth.

Any idea who represented skilled workers in the meeting that happened. I don't see Immigration Voice in the list.
Is IV core looking into how they can how they can be part of such meetings in future. If we are not represented, there wont be anything for us even in the comprehensive immigration reform. We employees cant rely on employers to represent us. That why we are where we are today.

My wife will be applying for H4 visa (1 st time) some time in march. I am currently working on H1B in US.
while checking the website for documents required for H4, they ask for the Photocopy of the Principal Applicant�s valid visa.
Since I am a canadian citizen, I do not require a visa for US and hence I don't have a H1B visa stamped on my passport.
I would appreciate if you could reply me on this regard.

Depicting "despair" using a photo and nothing else is tough. A final in one of my photoshop classes was to make a TIME magazine cover that depicted either "despair" or "hope". It was a lot harder to do that we all originally thought.
This comes close but it could also be construed as sadness, anger, weariness, pain, etc.
As I said, that's a very tough emotion to depict in a photo without any supporting text.
By the way, I like the photo.
