See - lets not fight within ourselves. We both have the same cause but expressing differently.

If you read Zoe Lofgren's letter, both secretaries have to answer her questions and it will be a press release as well. We need to make it a public story, but NOT by digging our own hole. USCIS used all the numbers ahead of time and shut the door on highly skilled immigrants on day one
DOS revised its July 2007 visa bulletin on day one 1, which has not happened in a long time or never.

Some law firms started hallucinating that the security checks were never done. They themselves do not know for sure. If you go and look towards the end of the blog post where it originated, he asks for confirmation instead of telling his resources.
Do you know that there were people who got their GC in 45-60 days last year? I know some personally. The security check and how they say its done or not done has always been esoteric to us. Last year, some one put up the blog of a Taiwanese guy who got labor,140,485 approved in a span of 5-6 months. How can this happen? AFAIK, all the people who got their GC's have PD's like 2003 and 2004. Please do not sling mud, when we do not know for sure, esp when the issues are of paramount importance like security. I will leave things for your discretion.

This was one one of John Kerry's Presidential campaign proposals. you saw what happened right. As the other member said it would be something very difficult to get pass by rule makers.
How about something like,
If a person has stayed in US for 10+ (or 7+years) years and has filed taxes(verified thourgh 1040s), he should be given GC. No questions asked(other than the ones the affect security of USA)

My objective of this thread was to point out to our members that when we are discussing about immigration issues in the media we should also expose the mismanagement of the USCIS. They should not get away just by saying we were not prepared for this....

2. Yes, my lawyer did send a explicit letter. Bottom line on that letter was "A request is hereby made to interfile the latest I-140 approval with his "A" file. Kindly make sure that the applicant's pending I-485 file reflects the new I-140 approval which has a priority date of July 8 2003 and it reflects classification under Sec. 203 (b) (2).
3. Also I didn't mention one other thing on the original post was that I have placed multiple call to 800-375-5283 to make sure that my I-485 is processed as EB2.

Reddog is an agent of someone paid to view IV site and create anti-IV posts. He may very well be an anti-immigrant who is now worried that he may not get access to secret info of our efforts.

I honestly think EB3 should be around beginning of 2004 or later
and eb2 possibly mid 2005 or later.
All the calculations point to that.
visa bulletins suck donkey ass.
totally meaningless without USCIS divulging backlog stats.

All the data about case file number (LINXXX, SRCXX, etc), status and the associated priority date is in a single/distributed database (else we would not be able to check our status online )

Well - what I say is - there is an issue and we have to fix it. But do you think such a tangential effort work?
It is also known/unknown that USCIS simply does not have a system in place to locate files with old PDs - constant changes to system may have resulted in poor record keeping. I do agree that this issue has to be brought to limelight.
I personally feel that any effort must be effective and not a half hearted effort - what I am trying to say is opening a thread and running 10 pages of messages and doing nothing? Does that work for us? Can that be effective?

For many of us, today is payday. What better day than today to make your first time contribution. I understand most of the money that we get is earmarked for something or the other. In a few days we again start our long wait for the next paycheck. On CNBC, I heard one commentator talking about consumers and how apt they were to rearrange their expenditure to the changing environment. For us, the environment is pretty static in the Green card world and there is very little change in the last several years.
So I urge you to rearrange your expenditure and contribute and see the environment change.
Please remember I will contribute $25 for each contribution of $100 from a member who is making this contribution for the first time.

My application was sent on June, 14th and delivered on June 15th (I have the FedEx tracking info and signature page confirming 6/15).
The case status online based on receipt number (obtained by calling them a few times until I got lucky) says:
"On July 11, 2007, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case."
Not sure if the online status is referring to the receipt date or the notice date when it says "On July 11, 2007, we received" when, in fact, they received it on June 15th!!

You will be able to see your actual RD in the reciept notice...Donot worry..

Earlier I got a PM from immigration (name on the handle, not USCIS). He has contributed $100 for this round. That takes us to the final 6 shots. Remember these shots can be taken by anyone who believes that IV is doing a great job in order to make necessary changes. Beppen, I joined the conference a little late and heard of Sen. Brownback's amendments for extension of J1 visa rule and no cap for nurses/physical therapists in H1. They will reconvene at 2.00 again and present more amendments if there are any

but how to start a company without changing current status
Here is my status:
My wife and I are on H1 and we got our EAD's now the question are:-
My wife remains on her H1 for safe....until we get GC.
Is it possible me to stay on H1 and start a LLC using my EAD to do a parttime business ?
Please provide Pros and cons if any.....
